VS6 Selection for Limited-NPSH Service

A VS6 pump uses a vertical double-casing arrangement that can be applied where suction conditions make a conventional horizontal installation unsuitable. Selection still requires the actual liquid level, vessel pressure, vapor pressure, temperature, submergence, available NPSH and site layout.

Confirm minimum, normal and maximum liquid levels and all operating cases.
Define fluid composition, density, viscosity, vapor pressure, solids and corrosivity.
Provide the required flow, differential head, discharge pressure and minimum-flow condition.
Specify can length, discharge orientation, driver data, materials, inspection and monitoring requirements.
