OH2 end-suction pumps are single-stage, horizontal, radially split, centerline-mounted centrifugal pumps for process service. Within the broader API 610 pump portfolio, the OH2 arrangement is selected where centerline support helps manage alignment across changing operating temperatures. These pumps handle clean or polluted, cold or hot, chemically neutral or corrosive liquids within the specified material and operating limits. Why Centerline Mounting Matters in Hot Service

A centerline mounted pump supports the casing near its horizontal centerline so thermal growth can occur more evenly above and below the support plane. For hot process service, this arrangement helps reduce the alignment change that can occur when a foot-mounted casing expands from its base.

When specifying an API 610 OH2 pump, review the operating temperature range, piping loads, baseplate and grout condition, cold-to-hot alignment procedure, coupling selection and seal support system. Centerline mounting does not remove the need for correct piping and alignment; it provides a more suitable mechanical arrangement for temperature-sensitive process duty.

If the required duty needs a between-bearings arrangement or higher structural stability, compare the OH2 configuration with an API 610 BB2 design using the same process datasheet.
